China is one big country. The western part of it is mostly plateaus and mountain; this is usually dry area. Eastern China is still apart of china but has most major cities and I think where the basins are to grow rice. It it more livable i the eastern part than the western part. But China is still China. Even the western parts and the eastern parts are still China. Think of it this way. There is the western USA and the eastern USA. Which part is the USA? Both parts are just like with China.
