Based on the serial number, it was manufactured in 1944.
Also, it was made by Colt. If the slide reads Remington Rand that means someone put a Remington rand slide on your colt frame.
The frame was certainly made by Colt and serialized in 1944. The slide may have been replaced in a refurbishment later on (early 50's) during the Korean War.
