That is a matter of opinion.I have seen most people shoot a .44 Magnum from a handgun and were not able to hit a man size target at 35 yards.I have seen some that were able to make some very small groups at 75 yards. The 44 magnum is a cartridge that takes a lot of practice to master. This all comes from the amount of recoil generated by the cartridge in question. The biggest part is to master the recoil generated without flinching. The 44 magnum will take game the size of deer and black bear out to 100 yards.I consider this the max effective range of this cartridge with practice.
You can fire a 44 mag out of a rifle in excess of a mile.
Are you asking what is the maximum range a 44 magnum projectile will go when fired?
Depends on condition. Range 175-500
A 44 MAG IS MEASURED IN thousandths OF AN INCH, .44 IS THE ACTUAL BORE, NOT METRIC
Yes. The 44 special is a bit shorter than the 44 magnum, so it will fit in the cylinder of the 44 mag. The reverse won't work, however. A 44 mag cannot be fired in a revolver chambered for the 44 special because the 44 mag is too long and won't fit in the cylinder of the 44 special.
Depends on condition. Range from 200-500 USD
Depending on EXACTLY what you have, it could range from a hundred or so to multiple thousands.
44
44 magnum and 44 special.
your colt is of modern manufacture period. it will take the 44 mag. cartridge 'IF' the barrel has 44 mag. written on it. Or, it could be a 44 special, also written, whereby you cannot use 44 Mag. cartridge. However, if it is a 44 mag. cartridge, then you can shoot modern 44 mag. cartridges OR 44 special cartridges............
44 special and 44 magnum only
Both are the same diameter but the case for the.44 Special. is 1.160 inches long while the .44 mag. case is 1.285 inches long. so, the shorter .44 Special will fit into the .44 mag chamber but not the other way around. It is exactly the same as with the .357 mag. and the .38 Special
