If a person is convicted of the most severe form, the minimum sentence is twenty-five years, but beyond that the length of the sentence will be determined by the judge who is presiding over the case. In order to be convicted of this form, a person must be shown to have premeditated the act, or to have committed it during the commission of some other crime.
