High blood sugar is a cause for wound taking more time to heal, therefore a tooth extraction with high blood sugar is not advisable. I am neither a dentist or a endocrinologist,

so do not take my word for this answer. That being said, I would say the maximum level is 180 mg/dL,

with no recent prolonged

hyperglycemia (more than a day at constant levels over 200 mg/dL)
