Ameen is a variant transliteration of the Arabic personal name: Amin. The word is translated variously as "trustworthy", "honest", and "faithful". The prophet Muhammad was sometimes given the honorific Al-Amin, "the trustworthy."
Momineen is a variant transliteration of the Arabic mu'minin which is translated sometimes as "the believers" and sometimes as "the faithful." So ameen ul-momineen might be translated as something like "trustee of the faithful".
The cousin and son-in-law of the prophet Muhammad, Ali ibn Abi Talib, is sometimes referred to as Amin ul-Mu'minin. The Shi'a took Ali to be the
rightful successor of Muhammad. The Sunni disagreed with that.
