Its a bacteria called neisseria gonococcus. Bacteria usually respond well to antibiotics, but unfortunately, antibiotic resistant strains of gonorrhoea are spreading and it is becoming extraordinarily difficult to treat. Very frequently there is a co-infection of chlamydia as well.
