An inert gaseous element of the argon group, occurring in air to the extent of about one volume in a million. It was discovered by Ramsay and Travers in 1898. Liquefying point, -- 152º C.; symbol, Kr; atomic weight, 83.0.
Krypton comes from the word kryptos, which is Greek for "hidden one".

Krypton
Superman The Last Son of Krypton - 1996 TV was released on: USA: 6 September 1996
Well according to what I found, in Superman #132 issue (around October 1959) this occured. Batman and Robin give Superman a chance to see what life on Krypton would have been had it not been destroyed. In the issue Kal-El still has the famous Superman suit and works with the Space Patrol of Krypton, apparently this would have been the regular look of the patrolmen. I believe he is still an average Kryptonian (without super-human powers) in the beginning. He evetually loses his father and mother (as well as his younger brother Zal-El) when their rocket crashes into an asteroid. Later in the issue he obtains his super powers with the help of a ray invented by a friend. He states at the end of the issue "How strange fate works! If Krypton had never exploded, I would have ended up there as Superman!".
When he was born on the planet Krypton. It was the name his parents gave him.
it is a greek word meaning hidden, krypton is high in the ai
The number of protons in the nucleus of each krypton atom.
The element Krypton's name derived from the Greek term, Kryptos, meaning hidden/secret/covered. Krypton is a noble gas, meaning it does not usually react to other gasses. It is atomic number 36. Krypton is associated with lights. It is commonly used in fluorescent lights and sometimes neon lights. Less than 1% of the atmosphere is made up of krypton gas.Fun Fact: Krypton is a planet from SUPERMAN:)The element krypton is named after the Greek word κρυπτός(kryptos) meaning "the hidden one".
It comes from a Greek word meaning "hidden."
I'm not entirely certain who "William Travis" is, but it looks like it might be a conflation of two separate people: Sir William Ramsay and Morris Travers, the researchers who discovered krypton. The name krypton comes from a Greek word meaning "hidden." (A week later the same people discovered neon, the name of which comes from a Greek word meaning "new.")
Plutonium. It is actually named for the planet Pluto, but that was named for the greek god Pluto, and Pluto in greek means hidden. As in 'the valuable ores of the earth are hidden'. Kruptos is more likely as Kruptos is greek for hidden and more related to the Element Krypton. atomic # 36
krypton kr meaning the hidden one
Krypton is an inert gas, which does not engage in chemical reactions; it is also one of the heavier inert (or noble) gases. Other than that, it is colorless, odorless, and very inconspicuous. It was actually quite hard for chemists even to find it, hence the name krypton, meaning hidden.
Krypton Tetrafluoride
No, krypton is odorless.
