Because in California (where I live) and I'm guessing most states are making budget cuts (Sports, Teachers, ETC) California is getting rid of teachers. Cafeteria cooks make about 10.50 per hour, which is very little, but most cooks use it as a stepping stone or a part time job.

Sorry but i wanted to answer this too haha its about 11.48 every hour
