What kind of "tar" are you asking about? I'm sure you don't mean "Nicotine tar"....but there are many kinds of tar which are the byproduct of burning any substrate to the the point of melting it. Tar is the residue left behind after burning.

"Coal tar", has the medicinal property of soothing eczema and other itchy skin rashes. It was the medicine of choice before Cortisone was discovered.

What is natural tar?

Natural tar is a viscous, black substance that is formed from the natural degradation of organic materials, primarily plant matter, over geological time. It typically consists of a complex mixture of hydrocarbons, including aromatic compounds, and can be found in various environments, such as tar pits or seeps. Natural tar has been historically used for waterproofing, medicinal purposes, and as a fuel source. Its production is often associated with the geological processes that create oil and gas deposits.
