What is meant by impurities is that the marble will alternate in color dependant on the amount of each particular mineral. For example, a marble will be more green in color if there is a higher amount of serpentine. Textures of marble are catagorized by the presence of calcite, dolomite, magnesium, serpentine, and onyx.
