They use a holistic process and evaluate your entire application. however, the 25-75 percentiles for each section are as follows: Reading: 680-770 Math: 750-800 Writing: 680-780 These are some pretty high numbers, so obviously higher scores yield better results. However, even a 2400 will not ensure admission. The acceptance rate is 10.1%, and many applicants with 2300+ SATs get rejected each year. MIT wants more than just numbers; they want actual people that will contribute to the school's community and beyond.
