The Army enlistment is based on how many years that you want to sign up for. Each person choses the amount of time they serve unless they go to college then they owe the time they were in school and a specific amount more.

∙ 12y agoIt depends on the Reserve unit, MOS (job), and options but typically the minimum enlistment would be 2 years. However most Army Reserve contracts are for six (6) years, you have to consider you work 2 days a month and 2 weeks a year, its not a prison sentence.
