Banana reproduce asexually . Here banana form rhizomes which are perennial underground fleshy main stem which possess buds for growth of new aerial shoots during favourable conditions and store food for perennation during unfavourable conditions. Parts of rhizome separate by natural decay and other reasons give rise to new plant .
