The Moon has no weather, because it has no atmosphere. In order for there to be winds, there has to be a media of some type for the combination of temperatures and moisture to create weather. Jupiter on the other hand has some terrific storms!

What is the weather of Mars' moon?

Mars has two moons, Phobos and Deimos. Both moons have a very thin atmosphere, so they do not have traditional weather like what we experience on Earth. The surface temperatures on these moons can vary greatly depending on their position relative to Mars and the Sun.

Does the moons orbit cause ice storms?

Not specifically. The Moon's gravity does cause Earth's tides, and tides do affect the weather, but weather is more of a local phenomenon.

How are moons and planets alike?

Most but not all larger MOONS (bodies that orbit planets, moons, or asteroids) accreted in the same way that PLANETS did, assuming a variable density and a nearly spherical shape. Very large moons such as Titan have many of the characteristics of planets: vulcanism, atmospheres, and weather. Generally speaking, moons orbit planets in the same way that planets orbit stars.

Do planets moons atmosphere effect its gravity?

No, a planet's moons and atmosphere do not directly affect its gravity. Gravity is primarily determined by the mass of the planet itself; the more massive the planet, the stronger its gravitational pull. While moons can influence tidal forces and an atmosphere can affect pressure and weather, they do not change the fundamental gravitational force exerted by the planet.

What is an airless moon?

An airless moon is a moon that does not have an atmosphere. Without an atmosphere, there is no air or weather on the moon's surface. Examples of airless moons in our solar system include Earth's moon and many of the moons of the outer planets.
