The hardest questions in history are plentiful. One, however never seems to be resolved and is a question scholars world wide have talked about. That question is asked in many different ways, but it all boils down to "What was the cause of the fall of the ancient Roman Empire?" Certainly there are many other difficult questions, but this one is certainly one of the most difficult to answer.
