Different Baha'is might choose different days, but for me the most important day is the First day of the Festival of Ridvan. That day commemorates the Declaration of Baha'u'llah, the Prophet-Founder of the faith. On that day, the 13th of Jalal on the Baha'i calendar (April 21), Baha'u'llah publically announced that He was the Messenger of God for this time. He had known for ten years, but had not mentioned it to anyone.
He was being exiled from Baghdad to Constinople. He had earlier been exiled from his native Persia. He would eventually be exiled to Akka, now in the state of Israel. He was a prisoner the last forty years of His life.
If He had not announced His mission, there would be no Baha'i Faith.
