The amount of third class passengers aboard the RMS Titanic overpowered the amount of both first and second class combined. It is said that of the 1,296 passengers first class had 319, second had 269, and third had 699! Once the deaths were analyzed it was discovered that of the passengers who died 200 were first class, 117 were second class, and only 172 were third class. Also only 215 of the 918 staff survived.
