From the research I have done via Google, Yahoo, etc... the name Memphis is of Greek origin, and means "Beautiful", "Well-Established", "Haven of good"... It's also my 8 month old son's name! I tried one of those programs to get an advanced namesake origin thing, and they didn't have any information on the name "Memphis".
As often as you hear her name in Greek mythology, she WAS NOT the most popular goddess, it was Hera. Athena was ONE of the famous goddess, but not the MOST popular. Out of all the Greek gods and goddesses, Zeus was the most famous.
