Convection
Heat transfers thermal energy efficiently from one source to another. The movement of particles when heated results in this efficiency.
Difference in temperature is the reason heat transfers from one substance to another.
If the two objects are in a vacuum and there is nothing between them, heat transfers by radiation. If they are separated and their is air between them, heat transfers by convection. If the two objects are in contact (touching) with each other, heat transfers by conduction.

Convection occurs when a warm liquid or gas moves moves into a region where the surrounding liquid or gas is a different temperature. An example of this is a warm gas rising into a region where the surrounding gas is cooler due to the lower density of the warm gas. Movement of gases and liquid due to differences in density (because of differences in temperature) is referred to as "natural convection". When the movement is caused by another force such as a pump or a fan or a mixing blade, then it is termed "forced convection".
The differences in spectrum are mainly due to: * Differences in temperature between the stars * Differences in chemical composition * Differences in relative movement (redshift / blueshift, due to the Doppler effect)

Heat Conduction.

Difference in temperature is the reason heat transfers from one substance to another.
This mode of thrermal energy transfer is called CNVECTION.
Heat energy.
Differences in moisture, temperature, and pressure cause air to move from one location to another. Upper level winds can also influence air movement closer to the ground.
