This is basically about a deformed boy (Jason Voorhees) at a camp who drowned in the lake when the councellors weren't watching. Years later when new councellors come to the camp the mother of the boy (Pamela Voorhees) seeks revenge on the councellors and kills all but one of them.
The mother's the killer for the first movie, but the rest of the sequels has Jason as the killer. If you want to know what happens to his mother then I won't spoil it for you, I recommend the movie if you're interested in slasher movies, one of the classics I think, even if it is a little dated.
