I bought the book and read it and it's really good. It's about an old man who is living at a nursing home and remembering his days when he was working at the circus: The Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth. He falls in love with a married woman and they end up having about 5 children. It's extremely good((:
The whole movie takes place during the Great Depression. Its about a man named Jacob who is studying to be a veterinarian in an Ivy League school called Cornell, and on his last day when he takes his exams, he gets a call saying both of his parents died in a car crash. His family's house was also taken by the bank because they were in debt. Then he tries to walk to Albany to get a job, but on his way he sees a train and jumps on it. It turns out it is the Benzini Circus train. He soon gets a job as the circus's veteranarian. He slowly starts to fall in love with the bosses wife who is also the star attraction at the circus. When the wife, Marlena, has her horse die, the boss, August, buys an elephant named Rosie for the new star attraction. Jacob and Marlena start to train the elephants, an fall in love, but Marlena won't admit it. Then, one night they kiss and dance at a party when August goes to get a drink. August saw them. I won't tell the end but its a great movie i love it. Its definitely worth seeing.
