If you have two diff. gameboy color and two Pokemon gold/silver, face the black bar on top of the gbs face to face, and on both gbs select mystery gift and both games should get a mystery gifts. You can activate mystery gift by talking to the girl on the 5th floor of the Goldenrod market.
Mystery Gifts can be anything. It could be berries, room decorations, or some common battle items.
Examples of Mystery Gifts: Pikachu Poster, Jigglypuff Poster, Oddish Doll, X Attack, Berry

∙ 14y agoMystery Gifts come during Events-For instance, one for Pokemon Platinum would be the Shaman Sky Form, Or the Rotom one. Try to check online when Mytery gifts will be given out.

∙ 13y agoIn Pokemon Heartgold you actually start with the mystery gift. When you start your game and it says continue, new game, etc. scroll down with the arrow and you should see mystery gift
