Independent variable, is variable that the experimenter manipulates
There are two types of variable, independent variables and dependent variables. Dependent variables are the type of variable that are changed in an experiment.
Independent variables are not altered by the experiment.
The variable that is deliberately changed is called the experimental variable or the independent variable (they mean the same thing). When graphing, the independent variable goes on the x-axis.
In an experiment, the scientist modifies the "independent variable" but keeps the "control variables" constant.
The independent variable is the one variable that is changed during an experiment.
Independent variable.
(The dependent variable is the one that is measured.)
independent variable or manipulated variable.
independent variable
The independant variable
The manipulated variable
I'm doing my homework and i looked up this question but I am putting the answer as the experimental variable
Experimental Method
Explanatory variable apex
You establish a controlled variable from which you can compare your results from your experimental variables.
Experiments are studies involving intervention by the researcher beyond that required for measurement. the usual intervention is to manipulate some variable in a setting and observe how it effects the subject being studied.

The independent variable is the one which the researcher controls and manipulates. On a graph this is the 'x' axis.
in an experiment, the researcher manipulates a variable
the experimental variable, also called the independent variable
In an experiment, the researcher manipulates a variable.

Dependable Variable or DV

Non Experimental Research. Involves studying naturally occurring variation in the dependent and independent variable without any intervention by the researcher.
