Jesus is a great leader why don't the Jewish people think so?

Most Jews don't have anything personal against Jesus. The difference is that Jews believe that Jesus was just a regular person and not anything special in terms of religion. Jews are still waiting for the messiah whereas those who supported Jesus believed him the be the promised messiah.

What are the reasons why the Christian community decided to write the Gospels?

The Gospels were written to record the life and teachings of Jesus by eyewitnesses or those who were given the testimony of eyewitnesses. They are written to show how Jesus was not just another man, but God's Son and the promised Messiah who rose from the dead.

Did nephi lead all christians into the promised land?

Nope, because there were no Christians. Nephi and his father Lehi lead two Israelite (Jewish) families to the promised land. "Christians" technically didn't exist until Jesus Christ began his ministry, when the Jews were split between those who believed Jesus was the Messiah (these became Christians) and those who did not (these remained Jews).

Do all Jewish people believe in Jesus?

Of course. His disciples, for starters. And there were also some who believed on Him who hated Him and tried to kill Him:"As He spake these words, many believed on Him. Then said Jesus to those Jews who believed on Him, If ye continue in My Word, then are ye My disciples indeed..." (John 8:30-31)."I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill Me, because My Word hath no place in you." (verse 37)"But now ye seek to kill Me, a man that hath told you the Truth, which I have heard of God..." (verse 40)"...Ye do the deeds of your father... Ye are of your father the Devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do..." (verses 41-44)."Then took they up stones to cast at Him: but Jesus hid Himself, and went out of the Temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by." (verse 59).Like those Jews... many have since "believed" on the name of Jesus Christ. But to this very day... like those Jews, many people still don't "believe what He says." Most, in fact, have not read His Word, to know what He says.

Was Ancient Rome the first country to invent Christianity?

No. Christianity comes from Judaism (Ancient Israel). Jewish people were the original "Christians" (it wasn't called Christianity then). Jesus of Nazareth (who's name is Yeshua in Hebrew and what you would have heard if you lived then) is Jewish. All of the original "Christians" were Jewish. Yeshua (Jesus) and those that followed him were observant Jews who practiced Judaism. Yeshua said that he was the Messiah foretold by the prophets (in Judaism). Those that followed him believed him to be the Messiah. These beliefs were shared with non-Jews and Greek Jews. People who believed in the Messiahship of Jesus/Yeshua were derogatorily called "Christians". Before the term Christianity came to be, the belief that Yeshua was the Messiah was called "The Way". Eventually, after much persecution from Roman Emperors, Christians were legally accepted in the Roman Empire. Later, Christianity was made the official religion of Rome.

Who are the true people of god?

The true people of God are those that place their faith and trust in the Messiah, Jesus Christ. The Old Testament believers were saved by faith (Hebrews 11) in the anticipated coming Messiah. After the advent of Jesus Christ, all who receive Him by faith are made children of God.

What is Islam's idea of the messiah?

Answer 1Islam doesn't have a Messiah, which is another word for "Christ." However, they do have a Figure-at-the-End-of-Time they call The Madhi, whose functions are quite similar to those of Christ at the Second Coming, although, of course, the Madhi comes to destroy Christianity and Judaism. From time to time, someone claiming to be the Madhi rises up to accomplish these tasks, the most notable being the fellow who killed "Chinese" Gordon at Khartoum.Answer 2Actually, Islam does have a Messiah and considers Jesus to be this Messiah. The Qur'an refers to Jesus as "Sid al-Mesih" (سيد المسيح), which means the Messiah. However, the Muslim conception of the role of the Messiah is less clear than Jewish and Christian conceptions of the role of the Messiah (which are different from each other). The Muslim conception of the Messiah is relatively clear as concerns the End of Days. It is believed that Jesus (as the Messiah) will return to Earth to lead the Army of God against the Dajjal (Islamic Anti-Christ) and the Unbelievers. At that point, Jesus will reveal that he was only ever a Prophet of God and Christianity mistakenly attributed Divinity to him. He will also bring all Muslims together in unified belief. As for his First Coming, his role there is unclear. Unlike Judaism, Islam does not hold that the Messiah has a duty to create a kingdom or other polity. Unlike Christianity, Islam does not hold that Jesus was sacrificed or that the job of the Messiah was to atone for sin.

What image of Jesus or the Christian community does Saint Luke give us in his writings?

Jesus is presented by Luke as not only the Jewish Messiah but as the Saviour of all - including those who were on the fringes of society such as women and the poor.

What did Jesus promised that crimal?

When Jesus was crucified He was placed alongside two criminals. The two criminals hurled insults and accusations at Christ as they were all slowly dying. At one point, one of the criminals recognized Jesus as the Messiah and asked that he be remembered when Jesus came into His kingdom. This was clear evidence of saving faith, to which Jesus responded "today you will be with Me in paradise." The criminal believed Jesus was God's Son and that He would rise from the dead. As such, he put his faith in Christ. This is saving faith and those who also trust Christ will see this gentleman in paradise.
