Gonzaga University's Art Museum is called Jundt Art Museum. It is a beautiful building with a 2,800 square foot gallery space called Jundt Galleries, where the main exhibits are held. The building is known for two prominent features: the golden spire and the red chandelier. The golden spire is a tall spire on the east wing that is plated with copper, which causes it to glimmer on a sunny day. The red chandelier is a large light fixture hanging from the center atrium of the gallery space that was made by famous Seattle artist Dale Chihuly out of many small red blown glass pieces. The museum is named after Jim and Joann Jundt, the principal donors. It is open year round with rotating exhibits.
