Depends on the business structure of the hospital. If incorporated, Chairman of the Board or Chief Executive Officer. I've also seen Head Adminsitrator used. I am not aware of any title that is gender specific.

∙ 13y agoBasically it refers to the matron (in govt. hospitals) who looks after staff nurses and other cleaning and maintenance staff available in the hospital. i have no idea about the private hospital staff hierarchy.
