However, the only female pharaoh who had a long and prosperous reign was Queen Hatshepsut of the eighteenth dynasty.
Well, there was never really female pharaohs but since in Egypt there were only pharaohs they just called them female pharaohs rather then queen. the only reason why is because in the Egyptian alphabet there was no Q's or U's for Queen. Hope that helps.....
