Galileo was founded in 1971 by United Airlines under the name Apollo Reservation System whereas=Amadeus was formed in 1987 by an alliance between Air France, Lufthansa, Iberia Airlines and Scandinavian Airlines System.=
Aer Lingus uses Amadeus as its primary Global Distribution System (GDS) to manage flight reservations, inventory, and pricing.
Global Distribution System GDS handle about 70% of world airline bookings.
gds
Agents usually use one or more general distribution systems (GDS) that show a multitude of information about most airlines. These GDS allow agents to research and sell travel along with issuing tickets. Some examples are Sabre, Apollo and Worldspan. In addition, good agents use the internet to search places like kayak.com or other travel internet sites for comparison to the GDS. Agents also use spreadsheets, word, excell and back-office accounting systems like Trams.

gds
GD is a gang that rocks the 6 point star and the colors black and blue and if you mess with them the wrong way its tight....
because they give the fod to the gds
they were humus and jemos, greek gds of the moon
There are several GDS (Global Distributions Companies) in market, that provide software to travel agents. These software provide instant link to all airlines. Most famous companies are Amadeus, Sabre, Abacus, Galileo etc.
I know several gds who do not have it.
