The Texas state flag is pretty similar to the American flag, but it does differ.
The left most quarter of the flag is a blue stripe going vertically with a big star. Next to it are 2 thick stripes running horizontally- one red one and one blue one.

The current design for the Texas state flag was adopted by the Republic of Texas 25 January 1839. Prior to that, the republic's flag had been a single gold star in the middle of a blue field.
