Trioxygen or O3 3 Oxygen atoms.
"Yes, technically oxygen is an atom, just like hydrogen" --Previous Answer Actually, any element-- including the one my username is name for-- is made of atoms. It doesn't have to be technical; it just is.
A combination of two atoms of different elements results in a molecule. A combination of two atoms of the same exact element results in two atoms of the same element stuck together, not a molecule. There is no name for this that I know of. --------- 1. Two oxygen atoms: a molecule of oxygen - O2. Many gases has diatomic molecules. Ozone has three oxygen atoms in molecule. 2. Allotropes can be formed from many atoms: allotropes of carbon, sulfur, phosphorus.
Chemical name for CaSO4 is calcium sulphate. It has 4 oxygen atoms in 1 molecule. So it has 12 oxygen atoms in 3 molecules.
Ozone it is three oxygen molecules bonded together.
Ozone consists of three oxygen atoms (symbol is O3).
Trioxygen or O3 3 Oxygen atoms.
Ozone layer is created and depleted both by UV. A CFC molecule can destroy up to 100,000 molecules of ozone.

ozone and ammonia Only Ozone is right answer as it contains three atoms of oxygen. Ammonia has one atom of Nitrogen and three atoms of Hydrogen! so it is a tetra atomic molecule.
Most oxygen molecules are composed of two atoms of oxygen, and we frequently refer to oxygen as O2 (or O2) for this reason. Oxygen can also exist as the molecule called ozone, which is O3. Ozone is unstable, and will revert to O2 in a few minutes.

First you have to specify whether or not you are talking about a two atom or three atom gas. Ozone and oxygen (O2) have the same name depending on how you reference atom combinations: they are both oxygen molecules. A molecule is defined as two or more atoms of the same type in covalent bonds. So if you are talking about the two atom version, then it has two atoms (and based on the electronegativity of the atoms forming it) is covalent, non-polar covalent.
