Another answer that you could describe a meow as is a plea? or maybe from a kitten it could be a way to get attention, the last persons answer was good also.

There is no way to describe the meow of a cat as we cannot duplicate it accurately as Humans. We cannot scientifically find anything about how a cat meows as if we cut them up they would be dead and wouldn't meow anymore.
