President Obama has attended several different churches since becoming president. Most recently, he attended an Episcopal Church that is not too far from the White House, but he has also attended Methodist services as well. And according to news reports, several Protestant ministers (and at least one rabbi and one priest) have been guests at the White House. But like many other presidents, including his predecessors Presidents Bush and Clinton, President Obama has not formally joined one local church, because whenever a president attends services, it can become a major distraction to everyone in the congregation.
