The site of Akkad has never been found, and the size of the city is therefore, unverifiable.
The precise archaeological site of the city of Akkad has not yet been found. Maybe it was destroyed totally but Akkad was in western Iraq close where Babylon has the capital city before they constructed it. So the difference was the time period.
