Main St. is very close to the ocean and has many shops, restaurants, and some historic sites of California. Huntington Beach is close enough to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm that one or both of those theme parks could easily be visited on a beach vacation. There are many other places to visit near the beach, including Angel's Stadium, an aquarium, and museums.
