The cross of Calvary refers to the actual cross on which Jesus Christ was crucified. He was crucified on a hill, known as Golgotha, or Calvary, and so the cross takes its name from the spot. The cross no longer exists intact, though St. Helena is credited for finding the it, the crossbeam of which is now displayed in the Vatican museum outside of portions that float about or are honored as relics.
The bible does not give us the name of the thief o the cross. As he was a hard core crtimnal nothing is told of them , before or after the crucifiction.
