OK the simplest form of calcium carbonate would be lime stone, it is made up of many calcium compounds but mainly calcium carbonate, sea shells are also 100% CaCO3, hope it helps

The minerals calcite and aragonite are the two best known forms,both have the chemicl formula of CaCO3 the difference is in the ionic lattice. Calcite is the most stable.
