Pharyngeal tonsils (adenoids)
A set includes two. Therefore, there are two tonsils.
One set of tonsils, which conists of two tonsils (one on either side of the throat). Most people have five tonsils. These include a single pharyngeal tonsil, often referred to as the adenoid, located in the posterior wall of the upper part of the throat. A pair of palatine tonsils is found at the back of the mouth; a pair of lingual tonsils is located at the base of the tongue.
The number of tonsils in the human body depends on what location you are asking about, but in the mouth and throat there are 4 sets; the pharyngeal tonsils, tubal tonsils, palatine tonsils, and lingual tonsils. If you are talking about other structures that are named tonsils, there are many others such as the cerebellar tonsils.
Did you have more than one set of tonsiles removed? There are three sets: 1.Palatine tonsils-located on each side of throat 2.Pharyngeal tonsils-located near posterior opening of nasal cavity 3.Lingual tonsils-located near base of the tongue There are other lymph organs that will take over the job: thymus and various lymph nodes.
anything is possible. i know someone who has had their tonsils out twice, and a third set grew in.

Your tonsils are at the back of your mouth. Sometimes they can become swollen and agitated. When they are bothering you, set an appointment to speak to a doctor.

Religious Orders in Christianity are groups of people who have committed themselves to live together in community and follow a particular set of traditions and a rule of life; most commonly typified by monasteries of monks and convents of nuns, though there are many variations of this simplified scheme. A "Superior" is the ecclesiastical authority (usually elected) of such a local group, such as an Abbott/Abbess, Prior/Prioress, or simply a "Superior".
Hattie Jacques went by Mother Superior (The "Carry On..." teams' nickname for her on-set).
Assuming you still have your tonsils, what you are removing is a combination of trapped food and pus. When a person has repeated episodes of tonsillitis the tonsils start to become permanently enlarged and sometimes pitted, thus trapping food particles. This, in turn, continues to irritate the tonsils and they produce white cells to fight the "foreign" material. You should see an "ear, nose and throat" doctor...he or she may recommend having your tonsils out. In the meantime, you can gargle with warm salt water, (6 ounces of warm water with one teaspoon of salt...stir until the salt is dissolved), to help irrigate the tonsils and reduce the buildup. Do this after each meal to flush food particles out. I have the same thing too and i went to the docter this is what u need to do. Ok set up anorther appoinment and they will get your tonsils out. that is what happenend to me.
