a stilt or trivet (the password those naughty people thought up is trivet, hey I am Dutch)
Some wood burning stoves are made of enameled steel, but the enamel is applied at the factory. The enamel is actually a form of glass, which is applied to the steel as a powder and then melted and fused on in an oven or kiln at a very high temperature. It is not the kind of thing that can be done in the home.
Here is an excerpt from this site explaining kiln texturing:1. A method of making a mold with a textured mold surface comprising the steps of: coating a mold surface of the mold with a fusible inorganic enamel composition, then applying a particulate inorganic material to the unfused enamel composition coating, and heating the enamel composition to fix the particulate material in place thereon and to harden the enamel composition, then applying a second coating of inorganic enameling composition of thickness to the coated mold surface and particulate material so that the surface of the second coating reflects the texture of the hardened enamel composition with the particulate material fixed thereon. * http://www.freepatentsonline.com/4956200.html
Kiln
There is raccu kiln, electrical kiln, and gas kiln.
The main component when making anything ceramic is that you use clay to make the piece and then you fire it in a kiln.
The address of the Kiln Public Library is: 17065 Hwy 603, Kiln, 39556 0628
It is normally called a Kiln.
As a thumb rule the kiln inclination is 3.5% of its length.
a hop kiln is used in drying hops. This kiln is called an oast.
Mostly clay is placed in a kiln.
It means it's ready to be baked in the kiln. Once a piece of pottery has been moulded, it's left to 'air-dry' for 24 hours to dry out. After that period, it's ready to be baked (the technical term is fired) in the kiln.
