That depends on what chapter you are playing. If you are playing ultramarines, use a high quality acrylic paint, Games Workshop paints are nice. If you use GW paints then base coat them regal blue, highlight the edges with ultramarines blue, paint the shoulder pads dwarf bronze then go over that with shining gold. Highlight the gold with mithril silver.

Most certainly not, Bionicle not only is a complete different type of franchise, but the story lines (as far as I know) are very little similarities. There is no proof that I know of, but I do know that one of the original head creators of bionicle, if not the head creator, Bob Thompson, is in fact a Warhammer 40k Fan and was also a producer on the Ultramarines movie. You need to be more specific with which Space Marines you are referring to. Is it standard Ultramarines? Space Wolves, Black Templars, Blood Angels? This will change what upgrades they get.
