Artery - always carries blood FROM the heart
Vein - always carries blood TO the heart
The vein which brings blood to the heart from the lungs is the PULMONARY VEIN ('pulmonary' = lungs). The one carrying blood away from the heart to the lungs is the pulmonary artery. Easy.
It is not a vein, but an artery that carries unoxygenated blood from the heart to the lungs. It is called the pulmonary artery. the right ventricle pumps out oxygen poor blood to the lungs via the pulmonary artery. The pulmonary vein is what carries oxygenated blood from the lungs to the left atrium of the heart.

its actually the pulmonary artery and the pulmonary vein i learned it in 6th grade
The pulmonary vein drains oxygen-rich blood from the lungs and takes it to the heart.
The pulmonary artery carries deoxygenated blood from the heart to the lungs. The pulmonary vein carries the oxygenated blood from the lungs to the heart.
The pulmonary vein delivers blood form the lungs to the heart. It empties into the left atrium.
The term pulmonary artery and vein are used.
The pulmonary veins.

nutrients, hormones, carbon dioxide from cell to lungs and heat.
The coronary arteries. These are the arteries that are treated when someone has a heart attack.
arteries are the major blood vessels that can transport blood from lungs to heart
There are three: The Superior Vena Cava carries de-oxygenated blood from the upper half of the body to the heart. The Inferior Vena Cava carries de-oxygenated blood from the lower half of the body to the heart. The Coronary Artery carries oxygenated blood from the lungs to the heart.
Veins take the deoxygenated blood the the right hand side of the heart. The right atrium/auricle (in the heart) pumps blood to the right ventricle(also in the heart), which pumps blood to:The pulmonary arteries. Which take the deoxygenated blood to the Lungs.

the aorta
There are three blood vessels that carry blood to the heart in deoxygenated form. Superior vena cava that carries blood from upper parts of the body like brain etc. Then there is inferior vena cava that carries blood from lower body parts like legs etc. Last is pulmonary vein that brings oxygenated blood from lungs to the heart.

Whether they have oxygen or not, all arteries carry blood away from the heart. And, since the pulmonary arteries carry blood from the right ventricle of the heart to the lungs, it is appropriately called an artery. Any blood vessel that carries blood toward the heart is called a vein. So that is why the oxygenated blood from the lungs uses the pulmonary veins to carry it to the left atrium of the heart.
Arteries carry blood away from the heart. Veins carry blood towards the heart.
