Pride (In The Name Of Love) - U2 ?
U2 wrote a song about Martin Luther King Jr. called Pride (In the name of love).
Pride (In the Name of Love) had to be scrapped when U2 played a 14 minute version of 'Bad' at Live Aid
Pride (In the Name of Love) was inspired by the story of Martin Luther King and other great men who died in the name of love.
They had a song that was called MLK. More famous is their song Pride, commonly referred to as In The Name Of Love, which was also dedicated to him.
The name of the song is "When love comes to town". It was written and composed by U2. However, U2 sings it with BB King.================================================Actually, those are two different songs from the same album (Rattle & Hum). When Love Comes to Town was in fact written as a tribute to BB King and he performed it with them live on the LoveTown tour in 1989-1990. But Love Rescue Me is a different song. On this song Bob Dylan sang background vocals on the album version. U2 has not played Love Rescue Me live since January 1990 but they soundchecked it earlier today in Sydney, Australia (December 13, 2010) before their 360 Tour show.
Sunday bloody Sunday
