In Matthew 7:13,14 the narrow gate refers to Jesus;

Mat 7:13,14 "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

In these verses Jesus is saying that the way of salvation is only through Him and that Christian discipleship is difficult but those who are faithfull find abundant life. On the other hand, there is the wide gate-the life of self-indulgence and pleasure. The end of such a life is spiritual loss or ruin.

Compare to these verses

Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. -John 14:6

Jesus also said

I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. - John 10:9

What is principles of narrow way in the bible?

Matthew 7:14. "But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." This means that in your life there are a lot of ways to go. You can party, do dirty deeds, cheat, lie, steal and be a complete jerk. Or you can choose the path that is acceptable to God. In comparison to the way the rest of the world lives, the path that follows Jesus is narrow. People that walk the path that follows the teaching of Jesus are rare and the path is narrow because there is only one way to have forgiveness and eternal life. That one way is to accept Jesus as your savior and do as he says. That is what this verse means when it says that the road is narrow that leads to life. It's talking about eternal life in heaven with Christ. There is only one road there and only one way to get down that road.
