Of course they love pita and unleaven breads. Labneh-which is a strained yogurt,and is used for dips and sauces .Shakshouka is becoming a popular dish in Israel, made with tomatoes, onion or garlic, spices and eggs. It is cooked over a low flame ,eggs are the last in. And usually is served with pita bread. Schnitzel is also be a up and coming dish there,as is gefilte fish. So Israel is taking the ethnic foods of other countries,and combining it with their own. In addition, all large cities have a wide variety of "imported" international cuisines -- Chinese, French, South American, and especially Italian, which uses many Mediterranean ingredients easily available in the area.
