Neurosurgeons sometimes cureepilepsy by surgically removing scars from the brain. Sometimes they implant a device like a pacemaker in the brain. Sometimes neurologists treat epilepsy with medicine.
People try all kinds of treatments for epilepsy, including alternative medicine options. As each individual and their epilepsy is different, some therapies may not work for some people and others may find that some things help. Even for traditional medicine options, there are many out there, and people will often have to try a few combinations of medications or different levels of dosages before finding something that works best for them.
