The rumor is the Xbox 720. It will problably have up to date graphics and processing chips helping to close the gap between console and computer gaming. However any new console won't be released until 2013.

Hopefully Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony will each release their own new video game console. At this time, there is only speculation on what they will be called and the type of hardware they will contain. There is also a rumor that Apple may enter the video game industry with their own console.

Well... it depends what kind of system you are referring to (PlayStation, XBOX, etc.) I think that the main hype of "new consoles" is over, but I did hear rumours of Wii 2. It's just what I've heard.
