The question kind of answers itself. It means exactly "no contact", whatsoever. this is because if you still talk to your ex, one or the other of you is going to be holding on to hope that you'll get back together, while the other one starts to move on, date other people, make changes in their life. It is extremely painful to hear these things from someone you once loved (or still love), when the wound is fresh. You need time away from each other to heal and accept things the way they are instead of how you wish they would be. It's difficult, but the best way. Weeks or months down the line when you are both on your feet again, you can be friends or even talk about starting again with a clean slate. But unless that time passes, you will find yourself hurting each other over and over by having contact, so don't do it! Move on and concentrate on making your own life great.

The first few weeks within the time we break up we dont talk. But after a few weeks we always get back up and talking again. Its up to you wether No contact will help.
