Directive coaching is a type of coaching where the coach acts more like a consultant and gives the client advice and suggestions on the topic of discussion. In Executive Coaching the preference is to adopt a more non directive style. The role of the Executive Coach is to ask questions that enable the client to see their issue or topic from a different perspective.
