Body temperature measurements that are most commonly used are: Axillary (armpit) 97.6 degrees F, oral 98.6 degrees F, and rectal 99.6 degrees F. In Europe it is 37 degrees Celcius under the arm (axillary)
97.2o F. On average, underarm-measured human body temperature is about about 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit less than the normal body temperature of 98.6 degrees F., so that would be 97.2 degrees. (That's about 37.3 degrees Centigrade/Celsius.) The reason for the inexactness and confusion on this matter is simply that underarm measurements are very hard to obtain accurately. So some will say to add--conveniently--1 degree to an axillary temperature reading, while others say add up to 1.8 degrees (in Fahrenheit).

In Fahrenheit, the normal range is 97.6 to 99.6---give or take. 98.6F or 37C is normal temp.
The average temperature of a healthy dog is 101 °F or 38 °C.Clarification:The normal range for a healthy dog's temperature is between 100.0 F to 102.5 F, although many smaller breeds, including pugs, can have an average normal temperature in the higher range.
