If you consistently get a reading of over ~128 before meals then it's time to see a doctor.
If you see a reading of below ~80 eat orange/grapes or juice or drink half a regular (not diet) soda but really you need to make sure you eat regularly. Again if you see readings of below ~80 often then it time to see a doctor.
If you suspect something is wrong ask your doctor for an A1c blood test, it will report the average sugar level over the past 3 months or so. MOST important to ask for the result, doctors can vary in their interpretation, survivors get educated !

The best method of controlling blood sugar/ blood pressure I've found is to walk a few times a week (or every day) up a steep hill for about a mile, get sweaty and out of breath, it works.

∙ 12y agoIn order to check your blood sugar levels properly, doctors require that you do a FBS, or a Fasting Blood Sugar level. Usually blood sugar levels increase after eating. The amount of insulin you create typically tells doctors your FBS. The normal number range is around 25 - 30.

To the best of my knowledge the level in your blood is the same as the level in your vagina. So a doctor who orders a blood test would be the person to give you the information you requested.
